Review progress

Gas use in the Spring half term 2025 holidays has increased by 58% compared to Spring half term 2024.

Between Saturday 15 Feb 2025 and Sunday 23 Feb 2025 you used 4,100 kWh of gas at a cost of £250. Adjusting for changes in outside temperature, this is still an increase of 1,500 kWh and 280 kg CO2. Ask the school site manager to check the heating controls to reduce gas use during the school holidays.

There is a large variation in seasonal overnight electricity usage from 6 kW in the winter to 4 kW in the summer. This suggests electric heating is left running overnight during the winter or the school has inefficient security or flood lights. Change electric heater settings and improve lighting efficiency to save £1,800 annually.
