Our pupils visited Awel y Gwrhyd Wind Farm to find out not only about how wind farms produce energy, but also to learn about community energy projects.
They interviewed Dan from Awel Co-op, and learnt about the 20 year journey it has taken to install the two wind turbines. Pupils were surprised by the size of the turbines and the cost (£4million per turbine!).
