Following a brief introduction to Energy Sparks in a staff meeting, the staff held a discussion about energy efficiency across the school, in particular the Energy that is wasted on heating classes unnecessarily. 
Mrs Taylor will get the Green Team to carry out spot checks at lunch times to check that lights and appliances are not left on unnecessarily. 
All classes to elect 'Climate Cops' to monitor energy use in class. 
Staff volunteered to carry out a temperature check in classrooms to find out which rooms are too warm and which are not warm enough, so that the results can be taken to the caretaker and the maintenance committee to see whether there are further adjustments to be made. 
We also decided as a staff that we will declare a 'Climate Emergency' and make energy saving a priority over the coming months.
