Communicating the message to the Teachers/ Principal

What you did
Children invited teachers and the Principal to attend the last 15 minutes of our after school eco club. The children worked in three groups and prepared a table to show what they had learnt, what we have done and how we can make further changes.
Table 1: Save energy, the children showed their posters, their spot checks and offered advice to the teachers on how they can help save energy by switching off their laptops and screens when not needed. They gave each teacher a thermometer so that they could monitor the classroom temperature and apply heating switch offs.
Table 2: Improving school grounds. The children shared our litter picking work and how we are trying to be a plastic free school. They showed plants that they had sown and would place around the school.
Table 3: Waste. Children shared the facts that they learned on waste from school lunches, they shared their posters and how we can reduce, reuse and recycle.
