During a Eco Council meeting, the members raised concern about the amount of lights, whiteboards and appliances were being left on.
In order to reduce our energy usage, we implemented an idea suggested by Energy Sparks. Each electricity switch and appliance in the school will be labelled with coloured dots.
Green – Anybody can switch off
Orange – Only adults can switch off
Red – Must always stay on
The pupils will host a whole school assembly informing both staff and pupils bout the traffic light system.
